Who would believe jousting could offer the excitement of a major sporting event in a quirky hilarious Chaucer tale with a classic rock music background, but it does and handsomely.

Better filming, acting, and character development than many 50's westerns. The story is an interesting twist on the "good boy gone bad" theme. Angie Dickinson does a great job. It is easy to see her potential in this movie, where she was "introduced". I think the writing at the end of the movie was uncharacteristically grim for the genre. it ruined the story for me.

Worth watching for its exotic spell -a murder mystery set in the Amazon jungle. It is beautifully filmed. The lead characters are compelling. The plot suffers from cliched themes, and lots of mumbo jumbo but you can’t help rooting for the good guys, and wondering what’s coming next.
