Super Mario Bros is what has become a rare gem as of late. Simple story, a beautifully realized world and characters from the games. The highlight was the relationship between Luigi and Mario. What brothers should be. Donkey Kong was an excellent addition and fit well for the story. The plot could have been sturdier despite being a kids' film. Bowser's motivation though simple was a bit blah, should have been about conquering (Thanos-like). However, these are minor issues and the overall film was a blast with many memorable scenes. My favourite was the end action with Mario & Luigi and also the DK and Mario team up in the mushroom kingdom.
