If you’re sick to death of the same over glamorous, celebrity obsessed dribble on tv, this is absolutely perfect. Yes there’s swearing (lots of) and yes (as someone below complained) there’s interracial acting but so what, it’s 2023 and it’s allowed. In my opinion this is an extremely clever crossover of history and storytelling and definitely the way to keep a narrative threading through different generations. If you hate ‘woke’, you’ll hate it. I love it! Well done Shane Meadows, the best thing I’ve seen for a while.
