The low reviews are very much exaggerated to the extent I can’t even keep reading them. I got violet. I’ve been playing Pokémon since red, blue and yellow came out. I absolutely love Pokémon and this game is awesome. Yeah so what if the background is a bit laggy, are you playing in the background? Is it actually hurting gameplay? No, it will get updates and it will get less buggy. I’m enjoying myself. It’s a lot like an updated sword and shield which is fine because Pokémon is like that. Use what you have and make some new creatures and quests. People are expecting it to be some grand difference to all the other games. Some expect it to be like games that aren’t even created by the company. Like come on and calm down. It’s an amazing game and if you love Pokémon get it. If you don’t then don’t. I would have loved for there to be more new Pokémon and some Pokémon in this that don’t get used as much but that’s ok. Biggest issue is there are no starters from other games. Like why????
