Good show. It is fun and interesting to see them tackle the problems of resorting buildings that haven't been inhabited for decades. My only complaint is that some of the side tangents, like when they called in a medium, got a little tiresome or are generally just less interesting. And, unfortunately, later in the series these sorts of side stories become more prominent. But, when the show stuck to the actual work they were doing, it was excellent.
I would have liked to have seen time spent on some of the other struggles they had to deal with. They mention having to run new plumbing and having to follow conservation rules/laws (e.g. have to keep the original flooring when possible), but those are glossed over. In general, more focus on the problems they had to overcome (finances, local laws, working with tradesmen, etc.) and less on donkeys and mediums would have made for a better show.
