Massively underrated debut album by one of the finest British bands of the 90s. Unfairly labelled by many lazy music journos since as Britpop (if you were there, it wasn’t actually much of a ‘thing’), the Sheds were far more than a stereotype. And earlier, too. Standout track on the debut is ‘Dolphin’, alongside hits ‘Speakeasy’, ‘Mark’ and ‘Casino Girl’. Well worth a listen - and then go and discover their later classics that made them stellar (Chasing Rainbows amongst many others)
