What an enlightening book. I run a book club which has been running for 7 years. We give each book that we read marks out of ten for enjoyability (not for how well a book is written). In seven years we have never all agreed on our marks but "Girl, Woman, Other" is the first time we have all scored ten out of ten. It's thought provoking and deep yet it has so much humour. So many interesting characters fill the pages... and, if you read it, look out for the final gathering which is just so perceptive and humorous and shows us just how diverse one family can be (if we didn't already know!). I found it an easy read, which is unusual for me with such a beautifully written book.
