8/10 solid performance from the actors and decent plot. This review will carry some mild spoilers so be prepared for that. The movie starts off a bit slow but also hooks you with the dialogue as if you’d be missing out on some foreshadowing so the slow pace didn’t bother me much. I couldn’t tell if Steven Yuen was a villain or just a messed up kid but honestly I don’t blame him that Chimp scene was probably the most terrifying part in the film for me. Here’s where the real spoilers come in. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the alien that was shown to us in the movie. At first they said it was a ship and that was really cool to me, but then they showed the scene with the aliens in the stable and I was down right SCARED, but then it was just a prank and we find out the really alien is the ship itself. I’m not sure how OJ figured out that flying saucer that was beaming people and horses into the sky was an “animal.” It looked like a ship and at no point in the film was I convinced it was anything other than a ship. I think they really missed an opportunity to have some really scary aliens in the movie but if we’re just going with my logic and saying that thing was in fact a ship piloted by some smaller humanoid life forms, then A+. They did really capture the terror and uncertainty of humans in a situation like this by making the alien as mysterious and stubborn as it was. I don’t really get the message of the film at all, and I’m not even sure there has to be one, but pretty solid film. I’ll def rewatch.

I’m here to tell ya that if you played cod zombies you’ll love this movie. Amazing effects and gore. Kinda feels like a modern blockbuster ww2 movie. I will say the acting was good except for the corporal guy with the blonde hair. I like him but he’s pretty bland in the movie. Screenplay was iffy but it was a fun movie overall. What’s better than Americans killing nazis and zombies with machine guns, explosives, and flamethrowers?

It was alright. It was very apparent this film is trying to gain an emotional reaction of sympathy towards those involved. A lot of the scenes feel very overdramatic and i feel like they milked this a bit. Obviously this is a major tragedy, but they wanted to get extremely cinematic scenes, so I'd imagine lots of them were kind of scripted out by the camera crew. It was good and sent a powerful message but it really went too far in the emotional appeal.

Ignoring what the critics say, this movie has an excellent idea and the actual premise of the story is a masterpiece. The execution wasnt great but I cannot imagine it was easy to make this into a marvel. They did what they could. The acting was 8.5/10. It evokes a deep unsettling feeling while also making you laugh and wonder how this is even a movie. I really dont know what to say about this movie because the only other movie that resembles it would probably be Stephen King's Misery. If I ran Rotten Tomatoes, I would give this a solid 68%. Give it a watch. You might like it, you might not. I gotta stop rambling because I really dont know what to say about this movie.
