Amon amarth are the benchmark for melodic death metal. Anyone attached to this kind of music absolutely must listen to this album. The band has grown immensely since their inception in the early 90s and their music has evolved to something that I would call the most comprehensible and publicly accepted death metal band of the 21st century thus far.
