I didn't really have much in the way of expectations going into this, but overall it was disappointing.
The best part for me was Cam Gigandet as the suave, narcissistic, sociopath best man. It should say a lot that with a groom, a bride, and seven groomsmen, this is the only character I actually cared about. Little reason is given to care about any of the groomsmen as most have no shown personality. I really didn't care what happened to any of them.
As for the bride, I think maybe they forgot to give us a reason to care about her. Her "motivation" is shown in a series of flashbacks that drags across the movie and by the time we got the reveal, I didn't care. By then I was hoping someone was going to take her out. You read right: I wanted the so-called "good" protagonist to die by halfway through the movie. A comparison was made to Kill Bill, but the main difference is we had a reason to care and understand the Bride there. Not so here.
Not only did I not care about her character, but her decision making skills are disastrously bad. She wants out of that life, so she runs away to the first place they'll look, turns on every light on the property, and turns the music up loud. Then when the groomsmen show up, she immediately goes into kill mode with ridiculous fight scenes. Partway through she just starts acting like a feral animal, though I think even a feral animal would make better decisions.
Not the worst film I've seen, but it could have been so much better just by spending time working on the characters themselves.
