Absolutely awful. Don’t usually bother with this kind of thing but felt the need to this time. There’s always a few little changes and quirks to get used to but this year its a joke. I like to think I’m a half-serious player and regularly hit the top divisions on seasons and Ultimate, so I don’t want to come across as a sore loser. The game has not progressed in any positive way whatsoever. It’s pure arcade. Defending is slap-stick with full backs regularly losing their men and hopelessly out of position, I actually went 4 games without the referee giving a single foul (online) to either team which tells me the players aren’t tight enough. The fact that I actually got flagged offside in my OWN HALF just about sums up this pathetic excuse of our beloved game. It’s a shame but it all seems geared towards the multi-million pound Ultimate Edition where teenagers have to spend hundreds of their parents hard earned money to keep a level playing field. I’ve given it a few weeks but I just can’t get on with it and I won’t change my mind. This could and should of been the best yet, but EA are clearly more interested in making money than giving the hardcore fans a proper footy game. Shocking.
