An amazing world with well written characters, and compelling themes! The first, I would say, 30% of the book was rather a grind to get through. It wasn't bad, just a bit boring. The rest is just pure expert storytelling. The unique way of not having the usual chapters but instead having different point of views where we could read and see what each character is going through is one my favourite things.

A truly beautiful book. Everything, from Chick's ups and downs, to the present day, to the past once more, is described in an immersive way that truly makes me feel for him. 100% recommend.

It is a unique tale of duty, love, and change. The way the themes are tackled is my favourite aspect in this book. It only starts to pick up after around two-sixths of the book, but the rest was just amazing. It really opens your eye and brings a new perspective.
