The biggest issues I had were flashbacks hindering the story, repetition, lack of smaller conflicts, very little world-building, tone inconsistency, one-dimensional characters, numerous typos and spelling/grammar errors, doesn't set anything up to pay it off later, fails to handle mature topics, and tells instead of shows. What it does show conflicts with what's told, and not in a purposeful way.
You can give it a try if the book's summary sounds interesting, because it does have a lot of potential. But for me, it felt like too much of a draft.
