The saddest thing watching this series is the misogyny suffered by all the women involved, the victims, the survivors, the female police officers etc It speaks volumes that things have only mildly ‘improved’ since the 70’s. The university students protest reminded me of the protest in Clapham following on from Sarah Everard’s murder in 2021, which I am sure was the writers intention. I found the series extremely frustrating to watch due to the incompetence and short sightedness of the main detectives involved but it was very well done.
