I love the show, and it's one of the few shows that all the family watch, and we used to have our neighbours round to watch it with their children. Now that we aren't able to be together, we chat about what we've watched when we meet on Zoom. However, I am really disappointed in Matt Lucas as the replacement for Sandi Toksvig. Noel Fielding seems to be quite an amiable person, who comes across as interested in the people and the bakes, but needs a companion presenter with a bit of sparkle. Matt Lucas is not funny, he doesn't encourage participants apart from suggesting stupid ways of getting at Paul Hollywood, he is puerile and I have yet to find him at all witty. I am embarrassed at the thought that my grandchildren are being shown this as the height of humour or the way to talk to people. Please find a woman with humour, warmth and wit to get the programme back to the fun and enjoyable show it can be.
