As a teenager, this movie wasn’t great. The plot was rushed, I can think of 5,000 ways to make the movie better, and the first three movies seemed to have a target audience of pre-teens, while this one seemed to have a target audience of 2nd graders and anything younger. ⛔️SPOILERS AHEAD⛔️ - The songs were horrible, “Red” being the worst one IMO, they aren’t catchy at all, and it sounds like pure auto tune (which would be fine if it wasn’t a movie) - The plot was rushed and slow at the same time, it seemed like every scene was so long, yet the movie was over in no time I would also like to mention that there were things that were implied that never happened, For example At the beginning the Queen of Hearts looked as if she was mad at Cinderella for some reason, then Cinderella tells Chloe (her daughter) that a prank was played on The Queen, then avoids telling her what the prank was. So I thought “OMG Cinderella betrayed her” Nope. It was a bunch of VK’s who were bullying her. That was one of the most disappointing parts of the movie - The Characters were very boring Red- Had a good sense of right and wrong but why? In the first movie, Mal was evil, then she didn’t know if she should be good or evil, and THEN she was good. I think Red would have been a more realistic character if she didn’t know whether to be like her mom or be good. And her whole personality is “I’m not like my mom” which got a little old 30 minutes in Chloe- She’s a little better then Red but not much, She’s a “goody two shoes” which is fine but she was just like every other character who goes by the rules and her character development is so bad, basically young Cinderella tells her “Sometimes good and bad isn’t black and white, but it can be grey too” and she’s like “Thank you, time to steal a book” and that’s it, Good message but a bad way of showing it (also her hair changes color, shape, and volume throughout the movie) Bridget (Queen of Hearts)- is just a stereotypical kind character, I like the way she’s nice to everyone but that’s it, there isn’t anything else to her personalty. She’s also supposed to forgive everyone and still be nice to them no matter what but when she’s pranked, THATS when she develops the “off with her head” personalty?? Ella- As an adult she’s fine, the wise, caring mother, it’s her past self that I don’t like her entire personality is “I hate spoiled royalty” Honestly I think that Disney is just trying to use the Descendents name to make people watch a movie that seems to have a $2 budget
