This game is my absolute favorite soulslike game and is one of my favorite RPG games along side the Witcher 3 and breath of the wild. Like all souls like games the combat is extremely challenging but unlike others if you get stuck on a boss that hinders your game progression you can simply go off and explore more of the map and simply come back later. I spent about 20 hours exploring ruins and catacombs in thebfirst area of the map before I even arrived and the first boss, while the exploration inside the catacombs has some challenging mini bosses they are worth doing because some fantastic items can be found once you have beaten them. I lovebthe charater customizion in this game you csn start as something like a samuri or a knight thatvstart off as melee builds and you can adjust them to be just as lethal with magic and incantations as theyvare with melee. Another fine part ofnthis game is just how amazing the open world looks fromsoft build some truely stunning worlds and elden ring is amoung there finest work every little corner of this worldmis brimmjng with secrets and lore. One thing i know that could put people off is how challenging the combat is, what i will say is although the game is tough if yoj are patient and ready to explore the game gives you all the tools needed to make your time easier. But done be put off by desth (it happens a lot) part of dying to a boss or in a dungeon is,learning what you did wrong and adjusting your play style, it van be frustrating but all of a sudden it will click andnyouvwill figure out how to finally slay that b#### thst gave youvso much trouble. In conclusion if you are an RPG fan thst likengames with a rich lore and do not mind a challenge then elden ring may be for you
