Not nearly as clever as it thinks it is. An overly convoluted plot that bizarrely lacks any suspense but drags on for over 2hrs with preposterous plot lines and embarrassing hammed up acting. It’s neither a ‘mystery’ nor a comedy and is topped off by an ending that even an Ealing comedy would have rejected as too farcical. I appreciate that I’m in a minority as far as this is concerned but I really can’t understand all the glowing reviews. Knives out showed some promise but it’s back to the drawing board after this.
