I enjoyed the idea of The Acolyte. But after watching 8 episodes, I realized this show became an analogue for the writers and creators personal beliefs. The lightsaber haircut was the turning point for me, where it became a silly attempt at the Galactic Parent Trap. Some promising moments mired by a confusing, plot hole heavy story. The writers should have kept this much of their personal beliefs out of the show. If they had a message to send, they should have done it with a new IP, not dragged Star Wars into it. Disney is complicit in this disaster….there was so much good material to draw from but they instead removed it from canon (ex KOTOR)
