Genuienly good fun to watch, both for seasoned retro gamers like myself, and for the more casual audience member. There are lots of easter eggs and references for "those in the know", as well as plenty of more pop culture references to things such as mario kart that everyone will appreciate.
Well-paced, and not too long, so that little ones will also be able to stay sat for the whole film!
