Directed By Robert Rodriguez, ‘We Can Be Heroes’ has INSANELY awful acting and neither the plot line nor the special effects were much better. In an age monopolized by MARVEL and DC’s hero films, you must be ready to take on society’s expectations pertaining to movies in this category. Throughout the entirety of the movie, every scene felt like it could compete with the average early 2000s movie but no better. To think that this was an actual film released in 2020 absolutely boggles my mind. This is a project that honestly should have been abandoned or reconstructed no matter how much funding went in to the original making of the film. It’s never too late to realize it’s awful and quit. On the other hand, failures make people great so I’m hopeful all actors, actresses, costume designers, set creators, digital artists, directors, etc.. show major improvement in their next films. Please, for the sake of my bleeding eyes and wasted time, take this review to heart, and learn from this atrocity of a hero story.
