I mean come on guys. Just look at all the one-star reviews, and most of them are due to installation or hard/software issues. If you are able to get past that, the game is really fantastic.
My usual kind of games are GTA V and Hitman; I've tried cosy pixel games like Stardew Valley but found that too slow for me. However, I thought I'd try Dave the Diver since it has such stellar reviews, and I could get a refund on Steam if the game isn't to my liking (within 2 hours of gameplay). I realised I was thoroughly hooked after playing for about 30 minutes in!! The gameplay and graphics are simple but charming. I even chuckled audibly at the campy, over the top cutscenes. I also love marine biology and diving (when I used to), so that's a win for me.
If you are looking for a humorous, cosy game (except for when you're fighting tough bosses), please do yourself a favour and at least try 30 minutes of Dave the Diver.
I use a ROG Ally and I could play it for about 2+ hours since it's a simple pixel game that doesn't require internet to play and is not too demanding on the system. Another win for me!
