I wouldn't give this as my first recommendation if someone asked me for a vampire movie, but all the classic lore and themes are present. I think they did a great job with Barlow's appearance (very vivid), and the main cast gave a satisfying performance. My main con for this movie was how felt rushed it felt. I found myself giggling a few times thinking, "Well that was quick." I didn't have a genuine connection to any of the characters except for Mark. I don't believe this movie was made to be a huge emotional investment for the viewer, and overall it's not the worst movie (by far) to watch as Halloween approaches.
