Women Action-Heroes are really just a terrible hallucination, admittedly sexy in the modern age buffeted by sexist-feminism.
Not just in this Television drama, but in all others. It does seem to be a fade in Hollywood screenwriters in the last decade. What is undeniable is that several hundred thousands years of evolution have completely made violent female warriors a physical impossibility, at best merely an indolent imagination. No matter how good the conditioning and training, and without bionic interventions, physical combat will never be the strong suit of women no more than men will ever perform the miracles of child birth.
The story has more girlish discourse than combat action, which even so is very contrived, disconnected, uncoordinated, even with the benefit of computer-aided graphics.
But this story was made further surreal by the feeble depiction of homosexuality of its main characters, which at the very least has absolutely nothing of relevance to add to the story-line. The rather awkward infusion of profanities in the dialogue of characters who are supposedly acolytes of the Church simply made the tale a tasteless and disappointing mess.
