This movie is incredible. Any person with common sense and an open mind would understand the theme of this film. The only people I see giving this movie a low rating are “pick-me’s” and men who “don’t get it”, which of course you don’t get the experience of a women in society, you’re a MAN. Anybody who says the movie makes Ken/ men out to be the villain is obviously not understanding the point. Ken is not the villain, if anything Ken is also a victim of patriarchy. Women aren’t the only ones who suffer from patriarchy, we ALL do. My advice to everyone who hasn’t watched Barbie is to watch it with an open mind and not as a personal attack. Just enjoy it, be compassionate, and stop complaining. Us women don’t get many films made for us specifically so if that hurts your “manly ego” that’s a separate issue.
