This movie was very thought provoking. I work with ASD youth and while it’s not a representation of the entire spectrum, it allows one to get inside a head of someone who’s limited verbally. I thought it was creative and inspirational. I do agree that Sia could not have had someone with ASD on that same level play the character of Music, as the stimulus would have been difficult for them. Having a higher functioning ASD individual play the role, would not have made the point she was trying to achieve. Maddie did a fantastic job, she is very versatile and is going to go a long way in her career
