I enjoyed it. Michelle Pfeiffer was deliciously evil in disguise. Her best bag girl role since Batman Returns. Maleficent's character was fleshed out more giving her a more human and motherly role. She was a total package of good, bad and vulnerable. I was delighted to see a backstory on Maleficent's although we don't have all the dots connected to say exactly how she came to be different from the rest. The movie introduces us to her people - a beautiful mix of age, size, color and colors. It was happy, it was sad. There was tons of action, lots of hot guys in horns with wings, and plenty of Fae hi-jinx and cuteness. 4 1/2 stars from me. PSA: This isn't a movie for young kids so please don't take them and don't complain about the "violence."
