I was both mesmerised and traumatised by the unfolding series of events brilliantly depicted by an outstanding cast of actors. The plot unfolds slowly and is given time to work its magic like a Shakespearean tragedy. The culture and etiquette of traditional Chinese courtly life is unfamiliar to me as a Westerner but this was handled brilliantly by a tight script and knockout performances from the actors. The sets, music, locations, costumes, makeup and hair were absolutely fabulous and the performances were sublime. I am so impressed. Thank you and congratulations to all involved including all the behind the scenes people. This production was simply marvellous.
