Watched it first when it came out, and didn't think too much about it. Decided to have a go again and see how it's aged so far.
I feel a lot of people take it to heart on the comparison towards Hulk and She-hulk. Hulk is in no way weaker than She-hulk, you can see that within the show, rather she reflected on how he used his abilities and did the same thing but in her own way. I'd also like to note that female rage can be interpreted differently compared to male rage.
That being said, it did feel like we rushed her growth and character development. This is supposed to be a comedy, I get it- that doesn't mean there can be meaningful moments when she tries to work out her new power (What would a normal everyday person do with this? How long would it take to come to terms with turning into a green destructive monster?). Banner had to work through his anger which took 3+ movies to sort out. I would have loved to see more episodes of Jen trying to fit in with the world around her, not just within the bar or her job. There are ways to merge these all together which I found could have helped people form the attachment towards this new character.
Honestly Tatiana was a perfect choice for this role, she really felt like the She-hulk, or at least how I imagined her. There was this fun and playful side to her that really stuck out as being genuine (Pretending to be a green female hulk will do that to you) but also in the parts where her character faced realistic issues or emotional distress.
Obviously we've seen the increase of women standing up for themselves and calling out wrong via social media. This is portrayed fairly often within the show, almost to the point where it becomes repetitive- making it seem like that's all the show is about. Of course female empowerment is important in modern society, there's nothing wrong about it- however a lot of people look towards superhero shows and movies for something unrealistic, not something they want to see every episode (In regards to everyday issues some women face).
I enjoyed the fight scenes, that's all I can say on it.
Regarding the CGI, you can find the decrease in quality based on the artists given time. The more time you give the CGI crew, the better they can make it - a common thing we've been seeing in recent Disney shows. It's always going to be quality over quantity. It wasn't the worst thing I've seen, but it could definitely be improved
Personally I did enjoy it, if they were to make a second season and take in the constructive criticism.
When and if you do watch things, I would go in with an open mind of what they were trying to accomplish with this TV and make your own judgments about it.
