Loved this movie on so many levels. I have read the 1 and 5 star reviews and can tell a lot of people didn't understand many parts of the movie. At the beginning where people are constantly saying 'hello' to each other - well that's how I played as a child. This movie is showing real examples of how children play with Barbie and showcasing a young person's imagination. But then there are mature feeling's from Barbie who has self doubt and imposter syndrome, and the reality of being a women. Then Ken has self doubt too and questions his masculinity...all very real, grown up feelings. Then they try to compromise a solution to work towards equal (or fairer) opportunities for Kens (AKA - men...the opposite of the world we live in now). But the best part was a spiel from the supporting female character (a hispanic female!) how difficult it is to be a women and the contradictive ways we are expected to behave....the entire cinema went silent and teary.... best movie in a few years
