At first it was very difficult to watch, I got a sour feeling in my gut, and I almost didn't continue watching. Then I realized it is difficult to watch because it hits home, hard. This is the truth, folks, and this show barely scratches the surface of single parents' (even parents who are together) struggle with poverty, the system, and all the firey hoops you have to jump through just to make sure you have food and shelter for you and your kid(s), and jumpin' through those hoops isn't a guarantee. So I kept watching the series, and it's still difficult to watch, and I'll keep watching, because it's the truth.
