Max Awesom (Kingkritical)

In short: I think we all wanted a great Metroid a great Metroid game after so long. Dread? Is just okay. It controls immaculately and is gorgeous but—I’ll save you a rant— I know after completing it just then, I will not be picking it back up. The boss battles in particular are just grating and the much touted EMMI evasion sequences are only ever annoying. People complained about being led by a string in Metroid Zero Mission— but this does exactly the same thing. You’d be better served playing that game.
