Penn Cage returns in this masterpiece from author Greg Iles. The latest in the Cage series deals with the usual subjects of murder and duplicity but this time in the politically and racially charged atmosphere our country finds itself dealing with in 2024. The book focuses quite a bit on the rise of fascism and Trumpism and what it means to democracy. It also dives into the horrors of racism and slavery through the lens of a white man. Highly recommend this book, but read the others in the Penn Cage series first.
