This book has changed the way I think about sleep. I’ve seen the benefits of sleeping for 8 hours every night. I used to struggle at work when I used to deprive myself of essential sleep due to working in the morning. Regardless of when I have work, I make sure that I go to bed early in order to give myself a long sleep opportunity to get a good amount of sleep. My sleep pattern was completely broken, unhealthy bed times and waking up in the afternoon. Now I’m sleeping a lot earlier (12am latest) when it used to be 4am (worst it’s been was 6:30am) and waking up at 9:30am. Though there are views which I differ with the author (keeps referring to Mother Nature when as a Muslim, I believe everything comes from Allah (god), this book has made me appreciate the blessing which is sleep. There is so much wisdom behind the mechanics of sleep and with anything, once you know how something works, it makes it easier to appreciate.
