Waste of your time. Mostly a bandersnatch rehash but with lackluster characters and uninteresting plot. Levels 1 and 2 were compelling. Beyond that it seemed like the stakes weren't high enough for one to feel like the main character was sacrificing anything. Spoiler alert: For example the choice between her brother and Isaac is a no brainer because her brother is DEAD. No SACRIFICE. A better sacrifice would be a choice between her mother or Isaac. Then with the whole "cost you greatly" for the cheat, it should have cost HER personally, like a loss of her eye or a limb or something. She doesn't seem romantically connected to Isaac enough for me to be traumatized by his death tbh. Boss battle was cool except for the super preachy dialogue. We get it. The guy is butt hurt about how white males don't get to the hero anymore. You don't need the characters to say it several times. Ending was especially stupid. When Beck calls and asks her "who do we use this power against" and she replies "Only those who deserve it" it undermines the ENTIRE FILM. Why did she have to suffer then? It is clear, Beck, who made the game, never suffered. It would have been better if she instead had set out to find and kill Beck and take over his empire. That would have been more satisfying, instead of her remaining a pawn Or if her actions twisted and warped her. That would be cool too. Don't watch this. Don't waste your time. Worst writing I've ever seen.
