Love Garland love sci fi but this fails big time. After a reasonable start, it just falls flat and bottles every dynamic turn. Its telegraphed and if your 5 year old cant see the ending, he or she should be put in special needs. Such a waste. Also some of the most horrendous acting Ive ever seen. A mate of mine summed it up perfectly. "took 8 episodes to do what 90s film Lawnmower man did in 90 minutes" who can argue with that?
