One of the most fun films of the year. Good characters, humour and action. The story has a solid payoff and some nice easter eggs for the fanboys. A further evolution of the predator characters and the Wayland-Yutani connection is nicely consistent with the Alien Earth storyline if you've seen it, but the story stands on its own just fine if you haven't. A great return to form - grab your popcorn and enjoy the ride!

Good, dumb fun! Bring your popcorn, curl up on a comfy cinema seat, suspend your disbelief and enjoy. A revenge story provides the fuel for a good variety of action sequences and some inventive stuff with explosives that made me laugh out loud. Running time is well judged, it didn't flag for me and I get easily bored of repetitive fight scenes. It's not a movie that'll live long in the memory but it's a good fun time.

Whilst visually great, the plot is an incoherent mess.

All filler, no thriller. This film has a great cast and there are some great performances. But beware, this film is all talking heads. I wouldn't mind if it was as clever as it clearly thinks it is, but sadly it is incredibly tedious and feels longer than its 94 minutes running time. There's a lot of style in the set and costume design, a swish soundtrack that feels like it was written for a different movie, but sadly little substance. Feels like a wasted opportunity, given the talent assembled. And for a group of spies whose talent is supposedly assessing situations and people... well a 10 year old could have seen how the finale would play out. Disappointing.

Great film, doesn't require you to have seen the whole series. The effects are so good you don't notice them, so you can concentrate on the fun, well-told story and the characters. Well worth watching on a big screen.

3.5 stars. Honestly not sure why all the hate. Entertaining, with a few nice twists, good performances from the leads. Helps if you saw Ms Marvel and Wandavision but not essential. A fun few hours.

The cinematography in this film was amazing - one of the best looking films I've seen in sometime. But the plot, story and characterization is pretty shallow. It's a fun popcorn movie.

This is a fun film, so long as you don't set your expectations too high and have a lot of love for Neo and Trinity. The production values are good and the cast are clearly committed to telling the story. But that story is a bit thin and unfocussed with some callbacks to characters that people probably only vaguely remember and maybe weren't that fond of. There's some meta that is a bit too on-the-nose as well. Nostalgic entertainment, but nothing ground breaking and if it did have something new and profound to say (that the previous installments didn't already cover) it went 'whoosh' over my head.
