Well, I just finished #TheMeaningOfMariahCarey and what I can say is thank you @MariahCarey Thank you for letting us in, speaking so openly & honestly to us, letting us understand where the pain and hurt comes from, and for pushing everyday even when you didn’t think you could.

I constantly lived in a fear of my sexuality and what people would say or do. I feared getting beat up. I feared the thought of not being accepted and being alone. I feared being vulnerable. To this day, majority of my friends are female because I feel safe and not judged by them.
This book helped open my eyes, I have a very loving family that’s always been supportive of me but I have allowed some people into my life that were not so supportive or understanding. You truly do have to “Change your cast of Characters” sometimes if you want to succeed in life.
The love I share for @MariahCarey like many others do, is because through every heartache, trials and tribulations, joy, success, & struggles that I go through, I can go to her music & escape. I can just be myself and I can feel the emotions release as I slip away into her songs.
So, I just want to say thank you @MariahCarey for this memoir and for helping me let go of things that I’ve held on to from my past. #TheMeaningOfMariahCarey will be a book that I continue to read and re-read for the rest of my life. I am proud to be a Lamb 🐑 ❤️
