Presumably, all the essential ingredients of an action films (firearms, fires, car chases, close-hand combats, pyrotechnics, gratuitous bloodletting, etc were present . All except for maybe two fundamentals, like credible plot and decent acting. Ms. JLo / Mrs. Affleck seemed desperate to make her forced entry into the female action hero sub-genre made popular by the like of Angelina Jolie in SALT. But this attempt arguably falls flat. The story line doesn’t make much sense…skilled assassin forced to give up her child at birth, goes into witness protection and all of sudden 12 years after, her child becomes the prime target of her supposed ex-lover and arms dealer….blah blah blah. Though I watched to the end, I mentally switched off after the first 10-15 mins. Sorry, it’s poor showing for me. See you in the next Rom-com, J-Lo!
