The powers that be at square are apparently trying something new with the FF series with this one. One of the gripes I've had with the franchise throughout the years is that the FANTASY aspect has been getting less & less to the point where it's been almost non-existent. With this one that aspect is back. It's more action oriented then previous titles, I'd go so far as to say that it's DMC but with a FF skin. You only control one character. It's also the goriest FF I've ever played, it took me aback the first few battles I played.
