Lemme tell you something: this movie was PHENOMENAL! When they first announced that there was going to be a live action version of this movie, I wondered how in the world they were going to pull it off. I was floored by how beautifully they did it!
The characters were spot on and so was the casting! Halle absolutely blew me away as Ariel. She embodied the character perfectly, bringing that curious mermaid to life. It was amazing meeting new characters and new twists to an already classic story. The music was amazing and the new songs that were added were chef’s kiss 🤌🏽🔥. I even shed a couple of tears at the end of the movie because of how perfectly they pulled you in with the storytelling. Melissa McCarthy was URSULA okay?!! Honey! She ate that part and I loved how they brought her evil to life while adding new twists to her backstory as well.
Anybody who says this movie wasn’t good is honestly just hating. They kept it so true to the original film and brought so much of it out colorfully and beautifully. I would go see it again and again. Definitely 10/10 as far as live actions go. They did AMAZING!

This movie is the one that made me fall in love with horror! If it’s not this level of scary or better: you can keep it! Definitely one that’ll send chills up your spine and have you thinking about it two weeks later.

It was just aite. Very forgettable. They took too long to make a sequel and the wow factor was gone for me. Although the story was cute and the visuals were beautiful it didn’t need to be 3 hours long. I hope they don’t plan on making more. It should’ve ended with the first one but they should absolutely stop after this one. Wait until it comes out on RedBox or something.

It takes a lot of courage to make an album like this. To address black trauma, addiction, the industry, serious mental health issues…my goodness. It’s very rare to hear an artist be so incredibly raw and open about what we as a people are facing while opening the curtain to his personal life and showing us he’s been far from perfect. This album is phenomenal and was well worth the 5 year wait. Kendrick is in his own lane entirely. When you carve the “Mount Rushmore” of greatest rappers, be sure to include Kendrick Lamar. He’s more than earned it and has sealed the deal with Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers.
