I’m glad that some people are finding this movie… artistically interesting enough to be watchable. However, don’t waste your money at the theater. Trust me, you don’t want to see it on the big screen. It isn’t like Midsommar or Hereditay or Black Swan. It’s just plain confusing for confusion’s sake. No real grand twists or epic conclusions. Really falls flat. For me, the pacing was quite slow for the first act and a half, but when it picked up I was invested! The suspense was gripping and had me on the edge of my seat… and then we veered into the, shall I say, symbolic territory. It just didn’t work. The last act was bizarre, disjointed, and wholly unenjoyable. I get what the movie was TRYING to achieve, yes, and it makes some broad strokes towards statements on masculinity but again it never quite connects anything or resolves anything. I was left confused and disappointed. Watch at your own risk. 🤷‍♀️
