After watching just half of the first episode I knew Jamestown was NOT filmed in Virginia , nor anywhere like it .
Which also speaks to the overall lack of historic accuracy in the entire production . I really wanted to like it but found myself turned off by all the mean spirited characters and the confusing plot .
