A coming-of-age story of two young boys in a small fishing town. The cinematography was able to capture and match the tone of the story--harsh but beautiful. The themes are strong and delivered very well. There's a soft touch of romance, and despite the actors both young, they played it very well. Thor is a late bloomer in the film--that is apparent in the earlier part of the story (Thor and Kristjan's actors have the same age) while Kristjan, probably because of his character's background seemed more mature. The story itself is raw and captivating. All in all, it's a combination of finesse and substance.
