I watched this movie to see if could gain some insight on ways to help my children who are also being bullied because of having Autism, Asperger's and ADHD, but feeling like the staff in the schools do not listen. I thought this documentary was sad and eye opening, yet I wanted to continue watching and see the outcome.
However.... everything from minute 30 to 30:30 pissed me off! That woman, whoever she is to the school FAILED miserably by telling the VICTIM that he was like the BULLY just because he didn't want to shake his hand after he continuously accosted him!
EVERYTHING she said and did in that moment was a colossal fail and I see now why my children feel staff don't help when they TELL them what is happening.
Is there a time and a place for a child to take the higher road OF COURSE, but when the victim is saying to you they don't want to physically touch someone that abuses them in so many forms, then it should not be forced upon them and they should NEVER, EVER be accused of being "Just like" the bully.
I plan to finish watching at some point, but I feel that every time I see that woman I will feel angry.
My hats off to the makers of this film and being able to see the things happening, objectively, and not interact with the subjects.
