Power Cut

It is absolutely pathetic how they ruined an epic just like it's no big deal. Serious lack of conviction is aptly visible in this doomed project. I couldn't believe why they would release such kind of a product. If the young minds of today get their understanding of Valmiki Ramayana from this movie then I don't know what will happen in near future. If this will be their Raavan then i don't know what exactly will they think of Ramayana in the first place. Absolutely lack luster VFX isn't the only problem with this film. Rather VFX is much less of a problem in this movie. The main flaw is in this representation that has been made by the makers. Raavan has an attire of an islamic dictator. He has been shown wearing a t-shirt along with leather straps over him with spiky hairstyle and rather non-sense get up. He is shown riding a bat but there is no mention of why he is riding a bat, is that pushpak vimaan or what. Characters around him are just goofy men or rather cartoons in his army who behave like lord of the rings character. Indrajit is shown as a guy having powers of Flash and attire of Connor McGregor. I can't imagine this being Ramayana. The first point of Introduction of Rama is pathetic. Shree Ram is shown as fighting some random CGI demons. Who are they? Why are they attacking Sita? Nothing is told as if it's a cartoon film. Even with such a story like that of Ramayana, Raavana's motivations are so childish and vague that we still don't know what he wants. We are shown a scene worth of 2 mins where Ravana's sister gets her nose cut by Laxman's arrow. That scene is so childish. Every detail about Rama's vanvaas is shown to us in a 3 minutes introduction. The movie doesn't want you to connect with any character. The most connected I was to a character was Jatayu which was just for a 3 minutes CGI sequence. Still I was more connected to it than Sita maa, Shree Ram or any one else. Even walking Saif Ali khan is shown us with CGI. As if his head is floating on a computer generated body leave alone the 10 head animation. Shree Ram's character is shown very much like a robot which is programmed to react in a certain way. I refuse to even think of this movie as Ramayana and any of the character as the one in Ramayana. In the end Ravan is killed by Rama but how did Rama know about shooting an arrow in his belly? Why didn't Ravan confronted Rama after this? A whole CGI climax of 30 minutes in a movie of 3 hours where the main essence of the story is skipped which doesn't allow you to connect with any character properly is the fundamental wrong with this film. Dialogues are pathetic. They are using slang language in their conversations. At one point they talk in Shudhh Hindi at other point they just start talking in slangs. Hanuman ji uses phrases like "jalegi tere baap ki", "Lanka laga denge" and is being told that "ye teri bua ka bageecha hai ki tu tehelne aa gaya". These dialogues are just the tip of the iceberg. A dialogue by Indrajit goes as "mere ek sapola ne tere shesh naag ko lamba kardiya". Now if you don't think this was intentional then I don't know what shows their intention. Overall this movie is an unbareable garbage which no devotee of Shree Rama or any person in general deserves to witness and atleast not by spending money. Don't watch it.
