Ms Amanpour, your show last night interviewing the director of the film
Judas And The Black Messiah. Your questions on black British actors were a little troubling. You did not bring the question to the forefront about British actors playing roles American actors know a lot more about, because they were born in America. I would say, Charles Laughton, Vivien Leigh, Errol Flynn, Claude Rains, Angela Lansberry, Eva Gabor, Charlie Chaplin, Archibald Leach, Peter Lorre, and many other European actors. The movie industry had no problem welcoming those actors who were not born in America.
If you had done your homework, you could have asked the same question and your reply to your question could have helped your audience have a better understanding of making a movie. The world is a stage, and even an actor from another country can play a German, an American or an African
The art of Moviemaking is universal. I love your show. Bring people closer by helping us understand it is one world, is part of your job.
