Having grown up on Judy, I already knew about her hard life at the hands of Studio heads and the drugs they made her take as a child etc. What truly impressed me was the way the film covered the last year of her life so effectively and handled the flashbacks to her childhood which lead to her insecurities and afflictions that stayed with her to the end. Most surprising was Renee Zellweger's transformation! She BECAME Judy! No easy feat. I smell an Oscar nom or possibly even a win! Highly recommend!
