The first season hooks you... but then the story twists and turns and diverges into too many paths... it seems a lot like values and virtues of modern society are all present in an 1800s Declan Harp and 2 or 3 other people, and those people were apparently fighting every moral and ethical battle we as a current generation would wage against those of the 1800s... it was like a hurricane that threw its energy too many different ways at once and the great storm broke up into light showers and eventually nothing.
