Not your typical disaster film. It's more down to earth and set in a reality of rolling news and looting. There's no Bruce Willis coming to the rescue with some implausible plan for a change. This time it's more about how everyman John Garrity tries to get his family to safety, to a cold war bunker in Greenland. I thought it had more of a subdued Deep Impact vibe than the gung ho bravado of Armageddon. Worth a watch. One of the better disaster flicks.
